Permanent make-up

Permanent make-up corrects and beautifies the contours of the face and makes the face look fresh and well groomed.

Our visagist and linergist (beautician experienced in contour line make-up) will use the finest of pigmentation on the lips, eyelids and eyebrows to give a natural and well groomed radiance to your face.

Permanent make-up emphasises the expressive power of your face and it thus plays an important role in the signs sent out during communication. The expressiveness of the eyes is emphasised through pigmentation used on the upper and lower margins of the eyelids. The lips will be contoured individually, as desired. This can be done using the same coloured lip pigmentation to intensify the effect or with a skin colour that matches the patient's skin colouration. Uneven colouring of the lips can be corrected. An artificially designed permanent lip make-up can accentuate the boundary line between the lip colour and the white portion of the lip. The patient is of course free to select a natural lip colour. In the case of hare lipped patients (cleft lip and palate patients) with visible lip scars, permanent make-up can hide the scars.
The eyebrows are drawn out to suit the personality and the fine hair drawings are pigmented. The method makes it possible to fill in gaps in the eyebrows, and also raise or lower the position of the eyebrows.
Doctors at the clinic will ensure that the treatment is painless by administering local anaesthesia. All the instruments are not only disinfected, but also sterilised. In this way, all risks of infections can be minimised. A prophylactic treatment against herpes is also administered through anti-viral medication if there is a pre-disposition towards herpes.
Technically, permanent make-up involves the insertion of permanent (3–5 years) biological colouring pigments in the superficial layers of the skin. Existing permanent make-up can be corrected or removed with special tattooing methods. Medical permanent make-up can also be used in pigmentation disorders of the skin, such as discoloured scars. A visagist and linergist with a university degree handles these treatments at the Klinik Professor Sailer.
