Correcting a narrow face
Elongated facial profile with pronounced, long chin.
Harmonised facial profile after the treatment.
Prof. Sailer differentiates between a narrow face with normal profile and cephalometric proportions and a narrow elongated face (long face). These two forms of the narrow face differ basically in terms of how they are treated surgically. The narrow face with normal profile proportions can be made wider by padding and extension surgeries by Prof. Sailer. The narrow elongated face must, on the other hand, be reduced in the vertical direction. These involve routine methods used in orthognathic surgery. At the same time, the above mentioned positioning and extension plastic surgeries can be performed individually in the cheek bone region /cheek bay region and in the region of the jaw angle, if these are found to further enhance the attractiveness of the face.
