Service spectrum for aesthetic plastic surgery: Botox treatments Cosmetic
treatment for the temporary elimination of mimic muscle activity, which
leads to visible smoothing of wrinkles (within 5-10 days), with an effect
that lasts more than four to six months. The use is especially suitable
for forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and “crowsfeet”. Botox
(botulinum toxin type A) can also be used in the lip and chin area,
in combination with other techniques if need be. Botox is very successfully
used also against sweating of the feet, hands and the axilla. The treatment
should be performed only by qualified specialists with comprehensive
knowledge of functional facial anatomy and sufficient experience. You
may also find information in the “You ask, We answer” section. Augmentation
plasties Enlargement
of a facial region that is too small or not prominent enough, such as
a receding chin, flat cheekbones, hollow cheeks, jaw angles that are
too narrow. Modern materials for that are: lyocartilage and one’s
own fat. Wrinkle
reduction Elimination
of facial wrinkles (so-called frown and/or laugh lines, crowsfeet) by
the injection of one’s own fat or underfilling with lyocartilage,
Goretex sutures, etc. Bignathic
operation Operative
repositioning of the upper and lower jaws for perfecting facial harmony
and occlusion. Injection
of own fat The patient’s
own fat, which, for example, was extracted from the upper thigh or the
abdomen, is centrifuged and the vital fat cells used by injection to
smooth wrinkles, to give contour to the red portion of the lips or to
emphasise the cheeks. Eyebrow
lift (Engl. brow lift) Raising and
correcting the position of the eyebrows by means of minimally invasive
methods. It takes place usually in combination with a forehead lift
and / or upper eyelid plasties (cf. also eyelid plasty). It eliminates
also perfectly crows feet. Laser
treatments The clinic
has offered a proven laser technique for some time: the vaporising of
the upper layers of the skin by the ultra pulse CO2 laser. Thus creases
caused by the sun, crowsfeet, forehead and upper lip wrinkles, which
a face lift cannot reach, as well as acne scars disappear. Neck reduction
plasty Elimination
of a double chin or sagging chin or prominent neck cords through liposuction
or through peroral or extraoral tissue reduction using cosmetic suture
techniques. Facial
reduction Reduction
of the width of the face through reduction of the width of the jaw angle
or the zygomatic bones and the cheek fat pad or a masseter reduction
plasty. These procedures are all done intraorally and leave no visible
scars. Face lengthening
and shortening Repositioning
of face and jaw bones via surgical access from the mouth in order to
obtain harmonious and attractive facial proportions. Permanent
make-up Introduction
of permanent (3-5 years) biological colour pigments into the superficial
layers of the skin of the lips, eyelids and eyebrows. Existing permanent
make-up can be corrected or removed with special tattooing methods.
More women are going back to this accentuation of the face, which saves
on conventional, expensive make-up and at the same lends a natural radiance.
Medical permanent make-up can also be employed for pigment disorders
of the skin, such as depigmented scars. A certified linergist and make-up
artist deal with that at the Klinik Professor Sailer. Breast
surgery Society’s
emphasis on the female breast today has stylised the latter into a symbol,
deviations from the ideal image of which often can create huge problems
for affected women. The cosmetic operation that is demanded the most
often is breast enlargement by means of implants. The shell of an implant
is always made solid silicone, a very stabile synthetic material that
is fairly inactive chemically. Available as fillers are silicone gel,
saline solutions or hydrogels. Implants, also called prostheses, with
soybean oil as the filler should no longer be used, according to the
latest knowledge. Indications for surgery, besides the aesthetic-psychological
problems, are accident sequelae or breast cancer diseases. The clinic
is distinguished also by great successes in the area of breast reduction
with simultaneous tightening of the tissue and lifting of the breast.
These procedures are performed by experienced specialists using the
latest techniques with minimal incisions and a brief recovery phase.
Fat removal
by suction (liposuction) The suctioning
of subcutaneous fatty tissue via the smallest of incisions at various
places on the body for women and men, such as on the abdomen, on the
legs or on the buttocks. Precisely the so-called riding breeches look,
which is often caused by heredity, cannot be gotten rid of with diets.
During liposuction a saline solution in combination with a local anaesthetic
is injected into the places to be treated. In the process the fat cells
swell up and lift up from the tissue as a result. With the aid of vibrating
cannulas of various lengths and thicknesses the fat is then siphoned
off, without causing injury to the subcutaneous tissue. Longitudinal
studies prove that the effect achieved is permanent. The clinic also
conducts liposuction in the neck, cheek and chin (sagging chin) areas.
You can find more information under the “You ask, We answer”
section. Anti-aging Today people
want not only to age less but primarily to become older gracefully.
With careful, comprehensive, aesthetic planning, combined with individually
adapted surgical procedures as needed, one can counteract the aging
process using general measures spanning the areas of nutrition, exercise
and hormone replacement therapy. Today it is possible to slow down biological
aging and to maintain a youthful appearance into old age. Quality of
life and zest for life automatically rise in the process. Therefore,
one speaks increasingly of "better aging" and "successful
aging", meaning growing old successfully. Specially trained specialists
provide individual analyses at the Clinic and comprehensive anti-aging
programmes based on them. Dimple
plasty Creation
of small dimples in the cheeks or chin using a special surgical method
developed by Professor Sailer. The procedure takes place intraorally.
No external scar formation. Implants Biological
(e.g., lyocartilage, Bio-Oss®, collagen) or synthetic materials
(e.g., Goretex, silicone implants, endoprostheses) which are inserted
into the body. Cheekbone
onlays Emphasizing
the cheekbones with onlay materials, such as lyocartilage; done exclusively
through the oral cavity. This is the safest way. Chin plasty Emphasis,
reduction or other contouring of the chin through an operation on the
bony part of the chin. The procedure is done intraorally exclusively,
without visible scar formation. No prefabricated foreign materials are
used, because they cause pressure resorption of the bone, are mostly
movable and often extruded. Cosmetic
rhinoplasty A remodelling
nose correction for the elimination of bumps, for narrowing, shortening
and straightening of less than beautiful noses in the bony and cartilaginous
areas. Nasal patency for breathing may not be impaired. We perform functional
nose operations to improve nasal breathing as well. Eyelid
plasty (blepharoplasty) Removal of
surplus tissue on the upper eyelid (drooping eyelids) or lower eyelid
(lachrymal sacs). Depending on the degree of severity, skin, muscle
and fat are removed. Lip eversion Broadening
and increasing the volume of the red portion of the lip for contouring
and visualisation, as a permanent measure, unlike the injection methods. Shortening
of the upper lip Professor
Sailer has developed several methods to shorten the upper lip, since
for women in menopause this often becomes thinner through the loss of
turgor, the red portion of the lips becomes narrower, and the teeth
are no longer visible. A single injection in the red portion of the
lips is contraindicated in these situations. Masseter
reduction Operative
contouring intraorally of the cheek muscle to narrow a lower face that
is too broad in the area of the jaw angle. We also perform functional
masseter reduction plasties to decrease excessive teeth grinding in
connection with temporomandibular joint disease. Nasolabial
fold correction The folds
that run from the sides of the nose to the corner of the mouth should
be eliminated primarily using new intraoral techniques, since this yields
permanent results unlike injection methods. We use primarily lyocartilage
(see below). The procedure can be combined with an injection of the
patient’s own fat. Earlobe
plasty Earlobes
become longer throughout the course of life (aided by heavy earrings
that on occasion are pulled out) or are deformed by an unsuccessful
face lift. Professor Sailer has the appropriate plastic surgery methods
of correction. Otoplasty Setting back
protruding ears or shaping ear muscles and earlobes. Orthognathic
surgery Repositioning
of the midface, upper and lower jaws for the functional and aesthetic
correction of growth disturbances, such as retroposition of the lower
jaw (small chin) and upper jaw or protrusion of the lower jaw (progenia). Forehead
lift Elevation
of the forehead and/or eyebrow region to tighten the skin of the forehead
and the lifting of lowset eyebrows via a minimally invasive procedure
through the skin of the hair bearing head region. Sagging
chin Soft portions of the chin hanging or tilted down that lead to unsightly, deep wrinkle formation at the transition to the neck. A new method by Professor Sailer can eliminate the sagging chin. |
