As a result of the loss of teeth, the jaw bone resorbs if the missing root of the tooth is not replaced by an implant. A significant reduction in the bone also leads to a negative change in the facial features. The clinic offers its patients artificial dental roots made of titanium or zirconium, which serve as anchors for fixed or removable dentures.

Course of treatment

The implants are inserted by specialist doctors into the jaw bone. After a healing time of about 3–6 months bridges or crowns are placed. This could be a case of replacement of a single tooth, replacement of several teeth or a circular, fixed suprastructure in completely toothless jaws. The tooth replacements are done as close as possible to the natural model and give excellent results over long term.

Best results with ceramic implants

As a speciality, the clinic also uses the latest two-part ceramic implants made of zirconium dioxide, besides the titanium implants from leading manufacturers. The latter have properties that are similar to those of titanium implants, but have a high affinity for the mucous membranes and a lower plaque formation than the titanium implants. Ceramic implants fill a gap in treatment options that has been there for a long time. The crowns and bridges that are placed now are also made of zirconium dioxide. Ceramic implants are going to play a key role in aesthetic dentistry.
