Veneers/Lumineers
Unattractive gaps between the incisors, discoloration of teeth and teeth worn out due to clenching make an unattractive impression when the person laughs.
After treatment with Veneers, the lips and teeth make a harmonious impression and exude a radiant smile.
Condition of the teeth before the treatment.
Beautiful white and neatly formed teeth after applying the Veneers.
Veneers are very thin, translucent ceramic (porcelain) layers that are used to give aesthetic shape and colour and moderate corrections to the position of the teeth in the front row and pre-molar regions. Porcelain is highly bio-compatible and also has good rigidity.
Properties of veneers
When using veneers the front surface of the teeth is prepared gently so as not to damage the teeth itself. An impression is taken. A thin layer (0.3–1.0 mm) of the melted substance is applied, with the aim of achieving an optimum cosmetic result. An impression is taken. One week later, the veneers that are made in the high-tech laboratory are attached using adhesive to the teeth.
Properties of lumineers
If lumineers are used, it is not necessary to grind the entire surface of the teeth. The thickness of the layer applied is just 0.2 mm. The result looks very natural and aesthetically perfect, like in the case of veneers. A suitable indication are retruded teeth (teeth that are bent backwards) and diastema (narrow gaps between the front teeth).
The Klinik Professor Sailer is one of the first trained providers of lumineers. You can learn more about lumineers at www.smile4life.ch.
