Wrinkle treatment

Beautiful skin contributes to a healthy and happy appearance. However, due to the natural aging process, the appearance of the body changes, especially the face, which gradually and steadily transforms.

The formation of wrinkles and fine lines is part of our aging process. As long as the wrinkles that develop on the forehead, around the eyes, or the laugh lines are not perceived as a disturbance, there is no need for change. Many people appreciate these signs of aging and view them as marks of life. However, if these wrinkles negatively impact appearance, making one look older than they actually are, it may be time to consider an anti-wrinkle treatment.

Methods to slow down the skin aging process.

Facial wrinkles primarily arise from the facial muscles, especially in this area, and initially appear only when the respective muscle groups are tensed. Over time, however, they become visible even at rest. Additionally, the skin loses elasticity, and tissue (especially fat) shrinks (atrophies), resulting in a tired and sagging appearance.

These processes cannot be stopped. However, various methods, such as anti-wrinkle treatments, can slow down and correct the effects.

The following methods can be used:

  • Injections with fillers or with autologous fat to restore lost volume.
  • Relaxing the muscles and thereby smoothing wrinkles with botulinum toxin.
  • Pharmacological and regenerative methods (refreshing, moisturizing, relaxing) for treating the skin and subcutaneous tissue through mesotherapy. Various specially tailored active ingredients are injected into the skin and work locally.
  • Wrinkle treatment and tightening of sagging facial areas using thread-lifting methods.
  • Contouring and shaping of the face by adding volume or reducing volume where necessary (lipolysis, fillers, lipotransfer).

There are numerous methods offered in the media as “the ultimate solution” for facial rejuvenation. An important principle of our clinic is that, on one hand, a decision is made individually for each patient to determine which method best suits their specific “problem.” On the other hand, we ensure that only proven, safe methods and materials are used.

The most frequently asked questions

Common methods include Botox injections, dermal fillers, thread lifting, mesotherapy, lipolysis, and wrinkle treatment with autologous blood. Depending on the skin condition and the severity of the wrinkles, the appropriate method is selected individually.

The duration depends on the chosen method but generally takes only a few minutes to a maximum of one hour. All treatments are performed on an outpatient basis.

The results of a Botox treatment last about 3 to 6 months, while thread lifting or autologous blood treatment provides longer-lasting results. Dermal fillers can last up to 12 months, depending on the material used.

Mild swelling, redness, or bruising may occur immediately after the treatment but typically disappear within a few days. For minimally invasive procedures such as Botox or dermal fillers, the risks are low.

Wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes (e.g., crow’s feet), around the mouth, and on the chin can be specifically reduced or removed. Wrinkles under the eyes or laugh lines can also be treated.

When applied correctly, especially with Botox, natural facial expressions are preserved. The treatments aim to achieve a harmonious and fresh appearance without causing a “frozen face” effect.

Wrinkle treatment in Zurich.

One of our main focuses is wrinkle treatment in the face. The primary goal is to maintain the natural radiance. The competent team at Sailer Clinic therefore considers the entire face with its individual proportions, rather than just the wrinkles that have formed.

In the anti-wrinkle treatment, wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes, around the mouth, and on the chin are reduced or removed. The treatment methods used are gentle, performed on an outpatient basis, and you can resume your usual daily activities shortly afterward. No unnatural facial features are created.

Wrinkle treatment without surgical intervention.

Unlike a surgical facelift, wrinkles and fine lines can also be reduced or completely removed with a minimally invasive wrinkle treatment. Minimal-invasive wrinkle treatments include procedures such as Botox injections and dermal fillers. Botox reduces wrinkles by relaxing the muscles, while dermal fillers compensate for volume loss and fill deeper wrinkles, giving the face a smoother and younger appearance. These treatment methods are performed on an outpatient basis and are very gentle.

The results achieve similar outcomes to a surgical facelift. In some cases, the wrinkle treatment in the face is even much better. Of course, Botox wrinkle treatments are also performed professionally and purposefully at the clinic. However, this type of treatment needs to be repeated every 3 to 6 months.

Which wrinkles are suitable for aesthetic wrinkle treatment?

A wrinkle treatment in the face can be performed on a specific area or for the entire face. Wrinkles under the eyes, on the chin, around the mouth, or on the forehead can be treated precisely. During a personal consultation, the face and skin structure will be carefully analyzed, and the possible approaches will be discussed. In many cases, even very small interventions are sufficient to achieve a significant effect. For example, a small injection in the area of the mouth corners can create a positive and softer facial expression.

The right wrinkle treatment for you will also be determined during the consultation. An important factor that influences the treatment methods is the condition of the skin and the severity of the wrinkles. For example, Botox wrinkle treatment is best suited for wrinkles that have formed due to muscle movement or muscle tension in areas such as the forehead and around the eyes.

How does a Botox wrinkle treatment work?

Botox is a natural muscle relaxant used in wrinkle treatment. This treatment is minimally invasive and reduces and removes wrinkles that have formed due to facial muscles. Botox gently relieves muscle tension and spasms, smoothing out the existing wrinkles.

The most common application is the treatment of forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and wrinkles around the eyes. It is especially important to mention that with proper Botox treatment, natural facial expressions are not affected!

In recent years, excessive use of Botox often led to a so-called “frozen face.” However, nowadays, botulinum toxin is used much more carefully. This allows for muscle relaxation and results in smoother, softer facial features.

Wrinkle treatment with autologous blood.

The wrinkle treatment with autologous blood is also a minimally invasive treatment method. In this procedure, a small amount of blood is taken from a vein in the arm, then processed and concentrated in a special way. The blood is then injected into the area that needs to be reshaped.

The body’s own blood signals that new tissue needs to be produced in the treated area. This triggers a renewal process of the skin structure, causing the wrinkles to be plumped up and the skin to tighten. This wrinkle treatment is natural, and the appearance becomes radiant and fresh without the need for surgical intervention.

Wrinkle treatment on the chin

Chin wrinkles arise for various reasons, so the wrinkle treatment can only be planned after a personal consultation. Depending on the cause, chin wrinkles can be removed using different anti-wrinkle treatment methods. In most cases, the treatment of the chin area is done with Botox to successfully reduce wrinkles.

Which wrinkle treatment is best suited for you will be determined in a personal consultation. Contact us to schedule a non-binding personal consultation to get rid of your unwanted wrinkles.
